Here’s a wee glimpse into what we’ve been getting up to over the last 18 months  in Arteus’s growing Graphics and Visual Effects department.

What an amazing 18 months it’s been for us!

We were so chuffed to be asked to create content graphics and animate a glut of fascinating archive still photographs for Matt Pinder and Matchlight’s absolutely DELIGHTFUL ‘Harry Birrell Presents - Films of Love and War’ Feature Documentary. It won the Audience Award at the Glasgow Film Festival and went on to create a warm buzz as it toured the cinemas https://www.theguardian.com/film/2019/oct/02/harry-birrell-presents-films-of-love-and-war-review-second-world-war-documentary .

That and Graeme Hart and Hopscotch’s heavyweight historical series for Ever Infinity Asia ‘Empires of Silver’. Shot across the world in glorious 4k we were involved from the onset, creating a look and feel for Graeme’s exquisitely shot historical re-enactments. It’s such a privilege to work at such a deep level in very high quality projects as these:

Our next big project was the highly anticipated return of The Demon Headmaster. We love working on visual effects and this is exactly the right level for us having previously worked on MI High and Eve. Once again our pal, the meticulous  Peter Gallagher for CBBC worked absolute magic on this and we helped a lot with Pre-Vis/VFX Supervision as well as creating all the vfx for 10 episodes on a very tight schedule: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/m0009f6n/the-demon-headmaster

These were the bigger projects but of course we were delighted to work on title sequences and content for many many high-quality broadcast programmes: Emeli Sande’s Street Symphony, Des Doesn’t Do, Imagine…Lenny Henry, Location Location Location, Secret Scotland, the Big Scottish Book Club….the list goes on!
